For background I took Brother in battle.

Being a Goliath Vim loves competition but more so for the comradeship. Being extremely curious he decided to leave the life of living on the mountains and explore settlements of the less nomadic people to find good fights, good ale, and good companions. Vim eventually attached The Desiccator this his name after meeting a wizard that tried explaining his experiments to him. Hearing the name of the piece of equipment made him want to use it in his name. When the wizard told him what a desiccator is Vim's response was a hardy laugh and saying "Which makes the name even funnier".

Description

Appearance
Outwardly, Garrek presents a facade of gruff cynisim, but he still holds out hope for the revival of his home nation, and would do anything to see it achieved. When dealing with others Garrek either deals straightfowardly or lets his intimidating demeanor do the talking.

Traits
Garrek learned the combat arts and strategy in the service of his national army. He left the service of the army when the country was overrun by an agressive neighbor, who Garrek holds a grudge against to this day. While in hiding and on the run after the war, Garrek served as a traveling bard to get by, but has decided to make a difference in the world, for which he needs allies...
